We have all heard about gen Y, that generation borned between 1976 and 1994! It is an outstanding generation because they are many (same birthrate as the babyboom period), they feel have a brand new feeling about the world and society and they have been raised during the blossom of the Internet.

This generation is so interesting not only because they know how to take a full advantage of the Internet revolution but mainly because they are the leaders “de facto” of this revolution as they make the majority of the internet conctent and activity. They are building their world.

Indeed, they do need this world, this is their new continent. Basically, this generation has to stay late in life with their parents just because of their long studies and the high cost of housing. They are stunned by how things in life are precarious : wealth, health, love, happiness etc. They are not especially grateful with oldest generations, their inheritance do not deserve it. They have to live in world that does not give them a place and they do not fancy.

So the WorldWideWeb is their land! A world where physical restraint doesnot exist, where scarcity is pure non sense, where you are free to write, to say, to think, to share, to see, to learn, to contest… A land, where they eventually handle their fate.

So far Gen Y rule this web-wide-world and the new thing is that this world scornfully called as “virtual” or “digital” is going to change the real world. In fact, this a double revolution, a world is overwhelming another and thus a young generation is taking the power.

Will they rule the others ? Will the others react ?
