Yesterday I read a catchy post on DailyBlogTips titled  : “What is a blog?”. The idea is to invite the bloggers-readers to give their definition of a blog and to share the different interpretation made of a blog.

As to me, a blog is an Exhibition-stand.

An exhibition-stand, is an open place designed to communicate messages and tht offers the option to have a one-t-one discussion with someone that represents the owner of the stand. You could notice that stands are sometimes very well-designed and sometimes quite cheap : just as blogs.

During good exhibitions, stands that have some common points are gathered on the same area. Proximity between blogs does exist as well. Links, comments, RSS subcriptions, ping and ping back, etc. produce a gathering effect. In deed, some blogs specialized area appears… Of course, some are the kings of their area like techcrunch for technologies, dailyblogtips for bloger life…

On every exhibitions, at teh entrance, some people give you a map of that special worldwide exhibition. When we think about it, technorati, googlesearch.blog, in France, Wikio, offers this kind of action

What is a blog ? A blog is an exhibition-stand that you can build to stand on the web.
