Little words make big brands !
Poke, google, twit, post… Ten years ago, all those words (except google for mathematician or semantic experts) would have mean nothing more than a noise just like : blurp, beblooc, hipick.
Today, thousand millions of people poke, google, twit or post every days… How is that happens?
When technologies make a move it enables a grape of innovation. A lot of smart guys just turns that new area into user service. Usually a lot of me-too products or services just blossom out simultaneously on the market. Nevertheless, few years later, just one sometimes two have succeded in being the incarnation of that service. Darwin would be amazed with such a selection law! How does that happen?
The winners of the competition, have sometimes a better product, sometimes a better home market, sometimes a better tech… but not always. However they always have better words.
Indeed, people (you know the people that are hiding behind the notion of market) choose the words they are easy with. A simple word for a clear benefit. Choosing the word that better embodies the new product or service is really key.
Little words always make big brands.

True ! Some just disappear in the battle, may be they are not enough intimate or the product or service is not good enough to sustain the demand generated by the word.
