I don’t believe you

I don’t believe you, said bob dylan when a guy in his audience accused him of being a “judas”.

Mr Arrington, I don’t believe you on “An Ignoble But Much Needed End To Web 2.0, Marked By A Party In Cyprus”. Web 2.0 is not a wave of investment. It is a empowerment of people that, now, have the power to express themselves… And it is not finish now since another battle is in stake, the battle for the access of this huge new content. Web2.0 will be achieved when you could navigate on the web through people content and not only conventional sites or top blogs.
Sorry, sir I don’t believe you.

  • Interesting take on what’s happening in Silicon Valley. A lot of people are in full-fledged panic mode and I think they need to slow down, take a deep breath, and look at the big picture. It isn’t as if people will suddenly stop creating their own content. And if they continue to create content, they’ll continue to look for platforms or venues to share that content.

  • Fully agree with you Stetoscope. He re is a typical example of panic or of a journalist in need of a story (… ah is the Web becoming like mainstream media…?). An financial crisis will not change the usage patterns of web users.
