Make it happen!

Have you ever tried to make a party? It is quite hard and you can feel anxious about if it will happen or not… Why is it that complicated? Just because we often have some very different groups of friends. Each group friends or each friends satisfies a part of your personnality. Some are fun, others interestings, others strange, others rock n’roll, others are the ones you can rely on, etc. But will they get on well on a party? It just depends on you, not you personnally but the atmosphere you will create.
It is strange to notice how it is similar with a community. I am experiencing it with pearltrees since several weeks now. A lot of people are interested in so many topics, they all have their own personnality, often they do not even speak the same language. Yet, to be a social service, they have to interact togethers. This is where community management comes!
I think the first mission of community managers is to help people within a community to find their “friends” (people they get on well or have common interest with) and help them to find their own specific usage. That is what I tried to do this afternoon gathering all my fashion victims friends on pearltrees.
And just because I am major fan of peter Sellers a map about the party.

Interesting take on the friendship/community issue. The embedded map makes for a really entertaining programme.
