I want to talk to you!

I am amazed about how many messages, news, images, recommandations I read everydays. The amazing thing is not really the amount but rather the diversity of them. Intimate signs, personal news, professional messages, those from my friends, the feedbacks of pearltrees’ community, the web industry, the world… And I have (probably like you) to deal [...]

I’ll be back

I have been quite busy those last three month. So I have not posted a lot and my stetoscope seemed to be deaf.
But, good news, pearltrees is now open. Step by step a community seems to enjoy making and sharing web maps.
I have learnt a lot those last month and I think it is time [...]

Pearltrees’ blog is open

Soon I will introduce you to pearltrees. But for now, I would like to introduce you to our start-up story. It is all written in pearltrees’ blog.
I would distinguish 3 different periods :

At the beginning, this blog was our working table. We had all a full-time job then and our challenge was to draw, [...]

Little words make big brands !

Poke, google, twit, post… Ten years ago, all those words (except google for mathematician or semantic experts) would have mean nothing more than a noise just like : blurp, beblooc, hipick.
Today, thousand millions of people poke, google, twit or post every days… How is that happens?
When technologies make a move it enables a grape of [...]

GenY : individualists or decentralized people?

I often hear definitive judgment about millenials:  they do not want to work anymore, they do not care about hierarchy,… Just have a look on today Daniel’s post. They would be individualist. As to me, they just balance their life another way.
First genY do not accept the same social codes. They do not want to [...]

I would tell my son to get his blog !

Unfortunately, I do not have any child yet. Nevertheless, if I had one I would encourage him to get his blog even if the statistics show that it seems to push you to jail. There are too many benefits of getting a blog.

Make one’s ideas clear
Always listen to people for being heard
Develop social abilities
Increase global&specific [...]

What is a blog ?

Yesterday I read a catchy post on DailyBlogTips titled  : “What is a blog?”. The idea is to invite the bloggers-readers to give their definition of a blog and to share the different interpretation made of a blog.
As to me, a blog is an Exhibition-stand.
An exhibition-stand, is an open place designed to communicate messages and [...]

Why visiting blogs?

I had an intense debate this week with some bloggers about the reason that lead someone to blog.
Here are the two positions :

First bloggers, like Steve McGrath, aiming at rankings, visits picks, in one word competition more about writing “how to” posts, publishing “rankings” of anykind, broadcasting “rare or new video” about a celebrity (here [...]

Why do I love social web ?

Today, I had a lunch with some of my start-up partners. We are working hard together since several month and we had a refreshing talk wondering what we do fancy most on the web. After, few seconds, it was very clear as to me : I really love the Internet for its social side. That [...]
